Payment Methods

We accept payment in the forms of cash, checks, money orders, major credit cards, and PayPal.

In order to best serve our customers, we have included PayPal as the safest method to process orders through this website.

Please note: Due to an error in the PayPal buttons, multiple quantities of the same item will not increase the shipping and handling amount. Therefore, customers must check out each order of the same item separately or else only one shipment will be processed and the rest will be refunded. We realize the inconvenience of this error and are currently working to fix the issue.

Please contact us if you would like to use a method of payment other than PayPal.

Checks: We will ship the order after the funds in the check have been cleared. Please make checks payable to Triple H Optical Instruments.

Orders for Delivery

Shipping charges will automatically be added to the order, and we will ship your order within 3 business days of receiving cleared funds.

We will gladly combine shipping fees for orders of microscopes with accessories and/or bulbs. If interested, please e-mail us at onlinesales@TripleHOpticalInstruments.com so we may send an invoice for the appropriate order amount.

Please allow up to 15 business days for delivery of your item. All orders are shipped using UPS Ground and will be fully insured. For orders over $250, we will include a signature confirmation of delivery, and we will not entertain requests to remove this service from an order that meets the $250 minimum.

Orders for Pick Up

Our offices are located in Philadelphia, PA, and thus also conveniently located for in-person pick-up. In order to make a pick-up order, please contact us to schedule an appointment with our staff and to find our exact address with directions.

Return Policy

Before returning the shipment to us, please contact us first so we can provide a more detailed procedure for your specific situation.

We will accept returns within 7 days if the item is returned in the same condition as it was shipped.

  • If the item is defective or incorrectly listed, a replacement, or refund if a replacement is unavailable, will be provided to the buyer upon our receipt of the returned product.

  • If item is returned due to buyer remorse or for reasons other than those previously mentioned, we will disburse a partial refund less shipping costs and a restocking fee of 10% of the total order upon receipt of the returned product.

It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the item is returned to us in its original condition. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • leaving the box and original packing materials unopened;

  • purchasing insurance, tracking confirmation, and/or signature confirmation; and

  • reinforcing the original package with other packing materials.

In some instances, we may create a return label with insurance and signature confirmation that may be partially or fully deducted from the refund, depending on the final evaluation of the returned product.

Receiving a Damaged Item

  1. The customer must first contact us before returning the shipment so that we may determine the best course of action in filing an insurance claim with the courier service.

  2. All packages must be returned to us in their original packaging. If the original packaging is too damaged to safely transport the merchandise, the customer must enclose the original package in new materials (e.g. a box that encloses both the microscope with its styrofoam box and exterior cardboard box).

    • If additional packaging is required, the customer must report the new weight of the entire package to us so we may create an appropriate shipping label.

  3. We may request further information from the customer to complete the claims process, such as requiring a phone number, pictures of the damaged item upon original receipt of the package, etc. If the customer does not fully cooperate in facilitating the claims process, we will be unable to provide a refund upon receipt of the item.
